Coaching vs Mentoring
Coaching
Coaching is when someone is providing guidance to a client to help them reach a certain goal that they are trying to achieve. The coach is there to help their students to reach their fullest potential. Key factors about coaches is that their relationship is lead by them and their job is to create a roadmap for the client to help them learn tools to help them get from point A and B. Point A would be the problem they are facing and Point B is the possible solutions that they hope they will get from the outcome they take. They will also help to develop strategies that will help them internally and externally. They are there to give reassurance that what the client is doing or going through aliens with they hope the payoff will be. Coaches will delegate tasks based on level of importance and their amount of time it takes to complete a certain task. Coaches are more of a quick short term investment to improve on a particular skill as their expertise is very niche. There are many types of coaches ranging from: Lifestyle, Fitness, Financial Planners, and Business Coaches. They have a more formal approach in their technique.

Mentoring
Mentoring is when someone who is called a Mentor is helping someone by sharing their knowledge and skills through their own lived experience. Mentors are more relationship driven and are led by their student who is referred to as the Mentee. They are using their personal experience to help guide them by navigating them to the right path as they have learned in their own experience what methods work and what doesn't. This causes less areas of mistakes that would happen if the mentee was doing everything on their own. Because of this type of style of learning and processing information causes this to be a more long term investment. Instead of this being like a traditional business transaction being A to B turns it more into a A to Z. The Mentor is more invested in their Mentee than your traditional coach. Since the relationship is so deep the mentees wellbeing and informational approach feels more interment and there's usually a connection between the two. It’s more like a friendship that has boundaries that pertain to the business.
